We are seeking a brilliant, versatile and flexible engineer to join us.
All members of this team know front-end and back-end code from front to back. This team member will have a significant role in shaping the technical direction of next generation web apps. Responsibilities include adding new features and maintaining the core technology which powers the 40-million member Bebo community.
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience with Java or Python
- Able to write and debug multi-threaded code.
- Scripting (Ruby, Perl, etc.) - able to use a variety of tools to quickly gather data, do analysis and solve problems.
- JavaScript/ HTML/ AJAX
More general stuff
- Experience designing and implementing APIs
- Experience fighting spam and bots
- Solid Linux/ Unix skills
- Experience building scalable websites, experience identifying and fixing scalability problems in code, system architecture and data access layers.
- Mad ping pong skillz
